During FY2020, Objective opened the doors to our world-class development centre in Palmerston North, New Zealand. This milestone brought together three separate teams: Objective Trapeze, Objective Alpha
(formerly Alpha Group’s AlphaOne) and GoGet (formerly MBS GoGet).
The brand new, state of the art facility provides teams with cross-collaboration opportunities that lay the foundation for innovation and #outstanding software. It brings together people with not only great technical skills, but also a depth of domain knowledge unparalleled in the industry.
What the Objective Palmerston North team have to say:
To say the team at the Palmerston North Development Centre are excited to come to work each day is an understatement.
“We’ve got three companies coming together to apply these new technologies and all of their learnings to come out with the best of the best,” commented Jeremy Dombroski, Head of Development.

“Bringing these teams together in this office is going to give us the opportunity to build some amazing software- software that will be really useful for the industry,” remarked Gaynor Landmark, QA Tester.
Norris Charlton, Senior Software Engineer said that working with the founders of Alpha and GoGet is “opportunity to work with new and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and natural language processing to deliver a new and contemporary solution for our customers.”
“Our original vision was to create a world-class online end to end building consent system. Where our vision was to create a world-class system for New Zealand, Tony Walls, Objective CEO, is looking for world class for the world. We were always too small to make that jump but Tony’s got the vision and the horsepower to do it, remarked Keith Smith- Industry Principal.
And exciting things aren’t just happening for Objective Alpha and GoGet. Objective Trapeze has released Objective Trapeze Pro. “Since the Trapeze team joined objective, we have been given the opportunity and the space to really transform Trapeze. It has been a major accomplishment,” explained James Dustin, Senior Software Engineer.
Ultimately, the goal of the development centre and Objective’s Building and Planning Solutions Suite is to “make it as simple and efficient as possible for the customer to get their building consent lodged and move through the process so they can get with what they really want to do which is build their house, commercial building, plaza – whatever it is they are after.”
“The benefits of binging the 3 teams together is cross collaboration and I think that will create innovation and outstanding software,” commented Romina Iwikau, Testing Manager.
“We’ve got a world class facility now at Palmerston North. You come to work at a fantastic new office. We’ve got great systems that we are building. There’s lots of exciting things coming in the future,” remarked Anthony Johansen support manager.

“To me the centre of excellence is about focus and setting and expectation for quality. It’s about setting the standard for types of delivery you are going to do for a customer. It’s about the people and the fact that we are going to have people with great technical skills, but also the people who have great depth of domain knowledge, great sales people, great account managers, all under one roof,” said Jeremy.
